24 Aug A day at the races
Being a local magazine editor sometimes has its perks! We were therefore delighted to accept an invitation to attend Doncaster Racecourse on 10th September as part of a ‘VIP Media day at the races ’. The penultimate day of the festival attracts some of the most prestigious racing of the week with the Doncaster Cup, the oldest race currently run under the rules of horse racing, taking centre- stage.
Doncaster Racecourse’s Cazoo St Leger Festival which runs between 8th-11th September is a highlight of the Flat racing season. The Cazoo St Leger has been won by some legendary horses through the decades and jubilant crowds watch on to see a little piece of horse racing history each year.
For sheer spectacle, atmosphere and excitement, a day at Doncaster Racecourse is a tradition that is hard to beat. Racedays at Town Moor have been drawing appreciative crowds for centuries and Doncaster has long been regarded as one of the finest racecourses in Europe.
With famous faces, glitz, glamour and excitement in abundance year after year, it’s easy to see why the Cazoo St Leger Festival is a horseracing event that nobody wants to miss and we are looking forward to the day.
Big thanks to Zoe for the invite.
